Frequently Asked Questions

Any Fusion contracted provider, currently active or alumni in good standing, is eligible to refer a candidate and potentially earn a Candidate Referral Bonus.
Fusion places physicians (MD or DO), nurse practitioners, physician’s assistants, CRNAs, and on a limited basis, allied health professionals and dentistry and oral healthcare professionals. Any licensed and qualified provider may be referred to Fusion, provided they have never worked for our company; are not actively engaged with a Fusion recruiter (defined as a two-way conversation within the past 30 days); and have not been referred to Fusion Healthcare Staffing in the past.
The timing of the Candidate Referral Bonus payment depends on the type of role the candidate accepts. For locums tenens candidates, payment will be made within 60 days of a Referred Candidate reaching the required hours for the payout. For permanent placement candidates, payment will be made after the Referred Candidate reaches 180 days of employment.
Premium specialties are those with high marketplace demand for locum tenens providers. Currently, the following specialties are considered premium specialties: surgery/general surgery, hematology, oncology, OBGYN, cardiology, radiology, gastroenterology, neurology, and urology.
