Highlights
- Coverage: 24-hour inpatient call, 7am-7am; solo on call
- Weekdays: Rounding 8am-5pm, then on call
- Weekends: No scheduled cases; on call for L&D/ER as assigned
- Rotation: Typically 1-2 weeks per month
- Setting: Inpatient (Non-clinic); Labor & Delivery and ER coverage; solo provider per shift with nursing support; can call in another provider for surgeries
- Duties: Round on postpartum patients; manage spontaneous labor/deliveries; perform scheduled C-sections; ER GYN call on some days; available for practice patients in labor
- Procedures: All OB/GYN procedures; C-sections; laparoscopic/minimally invasive GYN surgery; circumcisions a plus
- Obstetrics scope: No VBACs; deliveries ≥35 weeks
- Volumes: 1-2 deliveries/day (≈50-60/month); inpatient census 3-5/day; 6 L&D beds
- EMR: Epic
- Hospital size: ~150 beds
- Requirements: Board Certified or Eligible, Active OH license, OH DEA, NRP, ACLS, BLS
