Highlights
- January - Ongoing
- Shifts: Day shift - 8a-6p, night shift 6p-7a
- 6-12 AM shifts per month, 2-4 PM shifts per month - occasional additional coverage per month
- Both providers will work AM and PM. The current providers cover a small amount of PM shifts as part of their shift mix
- Patients per Day: 12-16
- Open ICU
- Clinical Responsibilities: Admitting patients from the Emergency Department, conducting daily rounds and progress notes, managing acute medical conditions, coordinating care with sub-specialists, discharging patients and providing follow-up instructions, medication reconciliation.
- Communication & Documentation: Updating Electronic Health Records (EHR), Communicating with primary care physicians, conducting family meetings/care conferences, reviewing diagnostic test results (labs, imaging).
- Quality & Safety: Participating in multidisciplinary rounds, Assisting with discharge planning and case management, adhering to hospital quality and safety protocols, identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Cerner EMR
- Certifications: BC, Residency in IM or FM required, CA license
- Clean malpractice/background highly preferred
- Credentialing: 60-90 days
