Highlights
Schedule: Coverage blocks of 7–10 consecutive days with weekday 12-hour shifts and 24-hour in-house weekend coverage
Setting: Hospital-based Cardiovascular Surgery program
Patient Volume: Approximately 20 patients per day
EMR: eClinicalWorks
Required Skills: First-assist experience in cardiothoracic surgery, hospital consults, ER/Cath Lab consults, chest tube management, thoracentesis, post-operative care, and inpatient rounding
Call: In-house cardiovascular surgery call coverage alongside the surgeon
Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible PA/NP
Licensure: South Carolina license required to begin credentialing
Credentialing: Expedited process available for licensed providers
Support: Collaborative team of cardiovascular surgeons, APPs, nursing staff, and OR personnel
