- Coverage dates: 3/28 (7a)-4/5 (7a); 7/26 (7a)-8/1 (7a); 8/28 (7a)-9/1 (7a); 9/27 (7a)-10/1 (7a); 11/24 (7a)-11/27 (7a)
- Mon-Fri: 9-hour shift
- Weekends: 24-hour call
- Setting: Hospital-based Endoscopy Unit; 4 procedure rooms/suites; Olympus equipment; Propofol anesthesia
- EMR: Paragon and EndoPro
- Procedures: EGD, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, PEG/PEG-J, pH studies, esophageal manometry; hydrogen breath testing; capsule endoscopy; ERCP/EUS preferred
- Responsibilities: no scribe; complete all charting; review all pathology; coordinate patient result letters and follow-up recommendations with nursing
- Volume: average ~12 patients/day; up to 12 procedure encounters/shift; fewer inpatient
- Team: well-established, highly accomplished Endoscopy Unit
- EMR System: Cerner and Athena
- Call Response Time Required: 20 Min Call Ratio: on call during entire assignment
- Requirements: Licensed in MI only, Board Certification, ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS
- Credentialing: immediate turnaround requested; estimated timeframe ~60 days
