- Pediatrics/OB: Facility Peds Level 3; Level 3 NICU with OB in-house; L&D on site; newborn deliveries may present to ED.
- Staffing: Physicians on variable 12-hr shifts. APC coverage—T-F: 07:30, 08:00, 09:00, 12:00 (12s); Monday adds an extra shift; Sat/Sun/Holidays: 07:30 ×2, 08:00, 12:00.
- Teams: Code blue and trauma teams; ED provider supervises code blue; trauma responsibilities vary.
- Procedures: Procedural sedation, airway management, central lines; frequent ultrasound-guided vascular access; strong RN/tech/medic support.
- Volume: 100-180 patient encounters per 24 hours.
- 24/7 support: Anesthesia, Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, Cath Lab, General Surgery, Laboratory, Neurosurgery, OR, Orthopedics, Radiology, Vascular Surgery.
- Certifications: BE, ABEM/AOBEM, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS
- Resident or teaching supervision required
- Estimated credentialing: ~60 days with a clean file.
