- Daily Responsibilities: Labor & Delivery coverage, Rounding on postpartum and laboring patients, Remaining on-call throughout the remainder of the shift, Managing obstetrical emergencies as needed
- 24-hour call coverage
- Average Admissions: Approximately 5 per call shift
- Clinical protocol requires physician to be: On-site within 30 minutes of notification of a patient in active labor
- Support available from: CRNAs, Anesthesiologists (MDAs), Registered Nurses
- Certifications: MD or DO, BC or BE, OH license or IMLC, DEA, ACLS, PALS, NRP
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Credentialing: Approximately 90 days
- Clean-file candidates may qualify for expedited temporary privileges
