Highlights
- Need coverage Oct 15-21
- Mon-Fri colonoscopy schedule.
- Daily flow: perform scheduled colonoscopies → see inpatient consults from the prior night → complete any needed GI lab procedures following the scheduled cases.
- Patient encounters per shift: 5-7.
- Practice/support: Practice designed for 3-4 GI physicians + 3 APPs; currently 2 NPs and 1 PA-C handling pre-/post-scope workups.
- Department: 7 beds; busy hospitalist service driving GI demand.
- Clinical scope: Colonoscopy-focused schedule with inpatient consults and GI lab procedures as needed; complex GI patients in clinic and GI lab.
- Facility: Trauma Level I; Peds Level II.
- Requirements: Board Certified, ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, Fellowship: Gastroenterology fellowship
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 30-60 days.
