Schedule: 24/7 call coverage
Coverage Need: Approximately 10 shifts per month
Call: 30-minute response time for standard call; 60-minute response time for open-heart cases
Practice Setting: Inpatient Cardiac Surgery
EMR: Meditech
Licensing: Active Ohio license required; IMLC accepted
Board Certification: Board Certified Cardiac Surgery
Required Certifications: ACLS, DEA
Required Skills: CABG, aortic valve replacement (AVR), pericardial window procedures, inpatient cardiac surgery management, consults, admissions, surgical evaluations, and emergency cardiac surgery coverage
Patient Population: Adult only
Typical Workload: 2-3 inpatients per day, 1-2 admissions per day, 1-2 consults per day, and 1-2 cardiac surgery cases per week
Support Staff: Intensivists, invasive cardiology, and cardiac anesthesia available onsite
Credentialing: Approximately 15 days; temporary and emergency privileges available for clean files
