Schedule: 24-hour beeper call, 7:30a-7:30a
Call: 20-30 minute response time; consult and surgical call coverage; no onsite requirement while on call
Practice Setting: Inpatient Neurosurgery
Patient Volume: Approximately 2-15 patients per shift
EMR: Epic
Licensing: Active California license required
Board Certification: Board Certified preferred; Board Eligible considered within 3-5 years of residency
Required Certifications: DEA and active or temporary Fluoroscopy Certificate
Required Skills: Adult Neurosurgery, trauma neurosurgery, tumor management, VP shunts, ICP monitor placement, cervical/thoracic/lumbar spine surgery with and without instrumentation, peripheral nerve surgery, external traction application, ventilator management, and central line placement
Support Staff: 2 APPs available
Facility: Level III Trauma Center, Stroke-Certified Hospital
Experience: Minimum 2 years of current hospital-based Neurosurgery experience required
Credentialing: Approximately 90 days
