- Broad surgical skill set preferred: general surgery (adult/peds/neonate, trauma), laparoscopic (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia, Nissen), GI endoscopy (upper/lower incl. colonoscopy/sigmoidoscopy), head/neck, chest wall/pleural, breast, OB/GYN (C-section, D&C, hysterectomy), minor ortho/hand, ventilation management, chest tube, central line, PA catheter, vascular (aneurysm repairs thoracic/abdominal, arterial bypass, peripheral, vascular access/AV shunt), plastic surgery; select pediatric procedures (atresias, abdominal wall/umbilical defects, diaphragmatic hernia, imperforate anus, PDA ligation).
