Highlights

Shifts: 10- and 12-hour.
Two-week rotation:
- Week 1: Mon-Thu 7a-5p; Fri 7a-7p with beeper 7p-7a; Sat-Sun beeper 7a-7a.
- Week 2: Mon-Thu 7a-7p with beeper 7p-7a; Fri 7a-5p.
- Then 2 weeks off; repeat cycle.
ORs: 4 ORs + 4 NORA; 2,200-2,400 surgical cases/year.
Case mix: Heavy orthopedics; no OB, no open hearts, no transplants.
Anesthesia model: Care team with 2 MDs and 2-3 CRNAs daily; general cases; physician supervision.
