Highlights
Schedule: Day and night shifts available, including 6:00 AM-4:00 PM, 10:00 AM-8:00 PM, 4:00 PM-2:00 AM, and 8:00 PM-6:00 AM
Patient Volume: Approximately 49,500 annual ED visits (about 136 patients per day)
EMR: Cerner
Required Certifications: DEA and Controlled Substance Registration
Required Skills/Procedures: Emergency Department evaluation and management in a high-volume setting with broad specialty support
Board Certification: ABEM or ABOEM Board Certified or Board Eligible
License Requirements: Active Texas medical license or ability to obtain; IMLC accepted
Additional Details: Regional referral center with specialty support including Cardiology, General Surgery, Neurology, Neurosurgery, OB/GYN, and Gastroenterology. APP coverage available daily. Candidates should have completed an ACGME- or AOA-accredited Emergency Medicine residency and be comfortable working a variety of shift types.
