Candidate Requirements
- Board Certification: ABEM required for Doctors Regional
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years Emergency Department experience or Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine fellowship (for FSEDs)

- Emergency privileges: Yes
- Case logs: Required
Hospital/Unit Details
- Beds: 18 beds at Doctors Regional
- Daily admissions:
- FSEDs: 10% admission rate
- Doctors Regional: 20% admission rate
- Consults: Yes, multiple per day
- Patient population:
- Rockport: Elderly, seasonal (Winter Texans)
- Northwest: Elderly, nursing home, rural population
- Portland: Younger, mixed demographics
- Trauma designation:
- Northwest and Doctors Regional: Level IV trauma centers

- Acuity: High; physicians must be skilled in:
- Central line placement

- Doctors Regional: ~80 patients/day
- Most common cases: Full spectrum of emergency medicine presentations
- Annual ER admissions:
