Highlights

Shift schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Weeknight and weekend call is negotiable, typically 1–2 calls per month
Seeking multiple Child & Adolescent psychiatrists to begin as soon as possible, ongoing until permanent hire
Board certification required
Fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry required
Longer assignments preferred, minimum of 3 to 6 months for continuity of care
Active Hawaii license strongly preferred due to urgency
Locums will primarily cover inpatient shifts at Punchbowl (Honolulu) but must be flexible to work inpatient, outpatient, and call at multiple locations
Hospital privileges will be obtained at The Queen’s Medical Center – Punchbowl and West (Ewa Beach) campuses
Privileging typically takes 90–120+ days but may be expedited for licensed candidates with ongoing availability
Emergency Room consults included in responsibilities
Must demonstrate The Queen’s Health Systems core values of Compassion, Aloha, Respect, and Excellence
Strong interpersonal skills required
Facility is a teaching hospital; the Psychiatry Medical Director also leads the residency program
Academic involvement required, must be qualified to teach residents and medical students; references will be contacted
Average patient load is 8 to 10 patients per day per attending depending on census and unit
Average consult volume is approximately 5 to 6 new consults per day, divided among the team
Active Hawaii state license required
DEA registration required
